Asher was a 6-year-old girl who loved God. She loved going to church. Her mom cleaned the church, and her father played the drums. One day Asher's best friend Sarah at school got sick. She begin questioning God. She felt distant from God. She continued to go to church but didn't feel like singing anymore, and didn't enjoy hearing God's word anymorOne day, Asher was in Sunday School and her teacher was teaching about the story in the bible where a woman with a blood condition touched Jesus’s garment and she was healed instantly. She loved that story. After the lesson, she went to talk to her Sunday school teacher Sarah. Her teacher encouraged her to continue praying for Sarah, and to have faith that Jesus could heal her too.That night she went home and prayed. She went back to the hospital to visit Sarah. She explained the story of Jesus healing the woman with the blood issue. Sarah is surprised and encouraged. Asher prayed together with Sarah.Asher continued to pray and trust God every day. After a few weeks passed, she visited Sarah again. Her friend was getting ready to leave the hospital. She said Asher I'm all better, I believe that Jesus healed me just like you said! I want to learn more about Jesus Asher is so happy. She went home and thanked God right away. “God” I’m sorry for not believing in you earlier. But I know you will forgive me, because you forgive all our sins always. This story of Asher might relate to you. Sometimes we make mistakes like Asher, but it is never too late for you to start fresh. If you believe in Jesus to save you from your sins, He will. The bible says that if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation, the old has passed and behold, a new has come. You might feel hopeless thinking there Is no second or third chance from sin, but we want to encourage you to have faith despite whats happening around you, like Asher did. And believe that this new year, God will give you a new chance to be right with him.

Un giorno a scuola arriva Giuliano, un uomo adulto, gentile ed autorevole. Lui è uno psicologo scolastico che cerca di aiutare sia i bulli che le vittime con lo sportello di Ascolto psicologico. Racconta delle storie che insegnano la gentilezza, l'altruismo e il rispetto degli altri. GIULIANO aiuta le vittime di bullismo a reagire con gentilezza e a guardare il mondo con fiducia, ad accrescere la propria autostima. Purtroppo prima di Natale, un giorno, a causa di incomprensioni su una chat di messaggistica, scoppia una lite tra due alunne della scuola, tra Carla e Sofia e il Preside vorrebbe sospendere lo sportello di ascolto psicologico anche perchè i fondi ministeriali stanno per finire . I due alunni coinvolti nella lite, dopo essere stati aiutati dallo psicologo Giuliano a riflettere sul loro comportamento, vanno dal Preside per chiedere scusa. Grazie alla donazione di un benefattore il progetto di ascolto viene finanziato fino alla fine dell'anno scolastico. Come simbolo di serenità e unione nel cortile della scuola viene collocata la "panchina viola della gentilezza" per tutto il personale della scuola.

Our Kindergarten class is learning how to deal with big emotions. When they are feeling overwhelmed by big emotions they should tell an adult they need a break, how we can help them or what is making them feel that way. We want to help them understand their feeling so that they will be able to learn to self-regulate. We encourage deep breathing, breaks, walks, alone time and telling adults how they feel.

Nylon is having issues embracing his natural curly locks. Nylon has tried everything to cover his natural curly hair from wearing baseball caps, pulling hoodies over his head with the drawstring tightly. Nylon thought to himself one night maybe if I spray my head with water and hold my hands on top of my head for 10 minutes my hair would flatten, while this did make Nylon's hair less poofy, by the time morning arrived Nylon hair was curlier and puffer than ever. Nylon figured the only other option he had was to ask his father if he could get his haircut. So, one Saturday morning Nylon's father took him to the local barbershop to get a haircut. Although this is what Nylon thought was going to be life changing, he still didn't feel any different, eventhough his hair was now gone. When Nylon returned to school on Monday all the kids were looking and pointing not quite the response Nylon was looking for, one of his classmates Syer asked him "Heyyyy, why did you cut your hair? "I thought your hair was really cool looking, I wish my hair would curl like that." Nylon gave a slight smile but on the inside he felt confused, but realized that none ever told him that they did not like his locks, no one ever made fun of him that he had extra curly hair, but instead it was his insecurities about his locks that made him feel that everyone else felt the exact same way that he did. From that day on Nylon realized sometimes being different is what makes us all be unique. Nylon went back home and told his dad that he thinks he will let his hair grow back.
